Hamish Keith is the Road Safety Technology Manager, London Road Safety Unit, Transport for London . He moved to London from New Zealand in 2000, and worked as head of the Transport Technical Support Services at the London Borough of Ealing. One of the major projects he was involved in included the development of a handheld solution to monitor the effectiveness of Green Travel Plans within the borough. Keith joined Transport for London in 2004. His role was principally to manage the “ACCSTATS” collision database. His role has recently been expanded to cover the development of an Intelligent Speed Adaptation (ISA) trial for London . He has a strong personal interest in intelligent transport applications and in realising the benefits that technology can bring to this area.
